The global gag rule was originally an order from president Ronald Reagans. Donald Trump has brought it back but thankfully, countries stood against this. The global gag rule has been a political controversy since Reagan first implemented it in 1984 at the UN and now Trump is decided to make this happen.

The global gag is an order that blocks the US unfolds to any organization that is involved in abortion. This will not stop abortion, only make it dangerous and endangering million of women.

There are countries that are against and, and these countries along with other organizations will not allow this as easily as Trump expects. They plan to create a global fund to support medical supplies to women in need and provide sex ed.

The rule’s impact is extensive, it goes beyond telling organizations how they can use U.S. aid money and restricts how they spend their funds. The policy puts women’s health at ricks.

Trump goes further than Reagan, not only threatening to take administrate how the funds are wasted but is requiring to any health center to certify they do not provide abortion services in order to receive U.S assistance.

A month after reinstating the Global Gag Rule, eight countries are coming together to attempt to counter the effects of this. These eight countries include Sweden, Netherlands, Denmark, Belgium, Luxemburg, Finland, Canada, and Cape Verde. They joined an initiative to raise millions of dollars to replace shortfalls caused by Trump. Sweden promised $22m and Finland $21m to compensate, and the others $10m each.

The reason that a lot of countries are against it, is because it is unfair. In September 2015, world leaders gathered at the United Nations to commit 17 Global Goals. These goals include all sorts of things but violates these three: good health and well-being, gender equality and peace, justice and strong institutions.

Talking about Finland in particular, we are in favor of abortion. Of course it must be put to 12 weeks and there must have certain reasons. For example: a disease, risk to mental health of woman, rape, if the woman is under 17 or above 40, if the woman has had four children or there is a risk of malformation. If the pregnancy is up to 20 weeks, it is only allowed if the woman is younger than 17, if there is physical risk to the health of the woman or any reason accepted bye the National Board of Medico-legal Affairs. If by the week 24, there is a malformation of the fetus, it can be aborted.

“If women don't have control over their bodies and their own fate it can have very serious consequences for global goals of gender rights and global poverty eradication,” Isabella Lovin said.(Sweden)

United States’ importance in the world and what would happen if it left the
United Nations.

The now elected president of the united states, Donald Trump, has considered to withdrawal the U.S from the united Nations. This organization is conformed by 193 states and countries which rely on the participation of the U.S. Concerned that such withdrawal could affect economies worldwide including U.S itself. Not only affecting the economy , but breaking treaties such as the American free trade,It would reverse decades of diplomacy and international cohesion. It could face counter-actions from hostile countries. All this is due to the ignorant thoughts the president , Donald trump shared via twitter saying “The UN has such great potential but right now it is just a club for people to get together, talk and have a good time.”

Being Italy one of the 193 countries that constitute the organization, is as concerned as any others. The United States is funding 22 percent of the annual organization’s costs, it is by far the biggest contributor on the UN budget. Its withdrawal may affect the whole world's economy.
Italy is a steadfast and active transatlantic partner ,The U.S.-Italy partnership is one of the strongest, as Italy is a leader in peacekeeping and military operations around the world. Italy has also worked closely with the United States and others in combating drug trafficking, human trafficking, and terrorism. Over the past two years, Italy has been an early and active partner in the fights against ISIL and Ebola..

January 30, 2017- “What Donald Trump is doing, affects us all”: Italy’s politicians speak out against travel ban. US President Trump signed an executive order, banning people from Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Syria, Sudan and Yemen from entering the country for 90 days regardless of their US visa status or permanent residency. The move has inspired protest across America, with thousands of demonstrators protesting outside the airports where dozens were detained.
European Parliament president Antonio Tajani, said: "I want to confirm [the Italian government's] attitude of closeness, of solidarity with the overwhelming majority of people of the Islamic faith who live in our country and who reject terrorism". later added Gentiloni after the ban was announced, He had tweeted a statement seen as a condemnation of Trump's travel ban, saying: "Italy is anchored to its values. Open society, plural identity, no discrimination. These are the pillars of Europe.”
Laura Boldrini, the president of the chamber of deputies in Italy later added: "What the new president Trump is deciding for the United States affects us all because the executive orders, in addition to undermining the basis of international legal principles, lead to general chaos and a heightened risk of dangerous retaliation," Boldrini added, urging the EU and all member states to speak out "with a strong and determined voice”.

The country's economy today suffers from structural and non-structural problems, Italy’s economy is sinking , as their public debt increases annually , the US withdrawal from the united nations might aswell help the economy sink completely. Italy is the world’s ninth biggest economy. Its economic structure relies mainly on services and manufacturing. On 2015 The United States aid Italy with $63,862 broken down into: health, peace and security, Department of defense , department of health and human services. But now the help may stop thanks to the now elected President of the United States, Donald Trump, putting Italy in an awkward position. Italians may really need the U.S. In fact, to make it possible to create a larger economic space between the two sides of the Atlantic, the U.S. would need first to support Europeans to find a path for the solution to their sovereign debt crisis.

A lot of countries are holding grudges against Donald Trump for his racist way of referring to people, discriminating, and doing literally whatever he wants, Italy is one of many countries, but without anyone to stop him, what can we do?. Having such a powerful country against Italy could be worse, It might as well be more convenient to need to keep a good relation with the country.

Trump’s Global anti-abortion US funded gag: a total devastation for women’s rights

Welcoming the global gag rule brought back by Donald Trump (originally Ronald Reagans executive order), blocking US funds to any organization involved in abortion advice and care overseas, could impact millions of women and girls, endangering their lives considering this does not stop abortion it just makes it more dangerous. The eight countries that immediately stood up against this were Sweden, Denmark, Belgium, Luxemburg, Finland, Canada, and Cape Verde. The global gag rule has become something of a political controversy since Ronald Reagan first implemented it in 1984 at the U.N. and now trump wants to make it happen. The countries mentioned above and other following organizations around the world will not allow this to permit as easily as Trump expects considering the huge risk in women’s health. As we know Trump follows unorthodox ways of reasoning and can’t really come down to a deal but on the contrary side the countries involved to prevent this have decided to make a plan B and make a global fund to support medical supplies to women in need and provide the right educational health guidance.

The global gag rule is a major issue worldwide since it could endanger the lives of women across the globe and add instability to the medical facilities on foreign countries. The United States of America led by president Trump were the first to come forth with this initiative. Alarmed by the possible commotion this global gag rule caused, countries such as Sweden, Denmark, Belgium, Luxemburg, Finland, Canada, and Cape Verde have stood against this posture. Fully aware of this, the main medical organizations depending on these funds across the globe have decided to make peaceful protests and petition campaigns. Keeping the economical downfall of this policy in mind, the countries mentioned above have started the global fund support for the affected medical organizations.

United States’ importance in the world and what would happen if it left the United Nations.

The United Nations is an international organization founded in 1945. It is currently made up of 193 Member States/Countries and its mission is to promote international co-operation. Fully alarmed, the General Assembly will give a quick introduction referring to a recent situation. 48 hours after Trump’s inauguration as the 45th president of the United States of America, a shocking report started circulating and saying that “A bill was introduced early January that calls for the removal of the United States from the United Nations.” Recognizing that this is an interesting topic to discuss in the General Assembly Committee because this could affect the whole world economy, relations and agreements between countries. Trump shared his thoughts about the UN on Twitter, “The UN has such great potential but right now it is just a club for people to get together, talk and have a good time.” He said. Ignorant people like him, that form part in the politics, would be the responsible for this decision. Further deploring towards this type of arguments and thoughts coming out of the actual US president’s mind.

Deeply concerned about it, considering that economies around the globe would immediately destabilize and the US would be the worst hit. Stock markets would be in complete chaos. The UN headquarters would be relocated temporarily in a neutral country. This would agitate its diplomatic relations with all other nations. The country itself would face counter actions from hostile countries. Taking in consideration that countries like Saudi Arabia, Japan, South Korea and various countries that belong to the European Union would launch their own nuclear programs, this because there would be no international pressures blocking them from doing it. Considering treaties such as the Nuclear Non-proliferation Treaty of the UN. The European Union would become much stronger regarding to military and politics, causing the rejection of any influence coming from the United States. The American free trade with all nations would likely come to an end. It would reverse decades of diplomacy and international cohesion.
